Globalization and trade sketchnote

The most interesting thing that I found about globalization and trade was that goods aren't distributed evenly.  I found this interesting because if a country has a lot of one good and the other country has a little of one thing but a lot of a different good then they might be able to make a trade and then both countries would be happy. I also learned that if one country has a surplus of one type of good that nobody else has then they make a lot of something that other countries can't and then they could have other countries make them things that they needed. Also If you have a good and another country has one too then you could make a trade for 2 years, and then you would go back to the country and then get your good back and you would give them back theirs.

The part of my sketchnote that I am most proud of is the positives and negatives to globalization. This is because it shows how the negatives which are very important because if you have factories that cause pollution then the people might have to stay indoors(depending on how bad the pollution is). Then they couldn't go to work and the children couldn't go to school. But the upsides to globalization and trade are very good. For example the jobs increase because the more factories that go up in business then the more jobs and then the country's standard of living goes up.

Answers to standard of living questions

I do think that countries like the U.S should help out countries with a lower standard of living because the countries with a lower standard of living don't know what it's like to have luxuries and by the high standard of living countries to maybe share some of their resources so everybody can live a better life.

A country's standard of living does not show how everybody in that country lives. Some people could be really wealthy as some others may not be so wealthy. Just because a small group of people are wealthy does not mean that the country has a high standard of living because what if those not so wealthy people out number the wealthy people? Then your country wouldn't have a high standard of living.

The most interesting thing that I found about standard of living was seeing how well off we are compared to other countries. The U.S has a very high standard of living, and from living here all of my life to just seeing pictures and reading about other countries standard of living it was eye opening to see how much better off we are compared to the country that I looked at. Some things that we take for granted like running water would be a luxury for people in a lower standard of living because they don't have the money to install running water.
